Denice Hasty currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Business Marketing and Product Management for Comcast’s ~$4.8B Business Services Group, Comcast's fastest growing business unit.
As CMO of the cable company’s growth driver, she is responsible for marketing communications & advertising execution, product management/lifecycle experience and marketing strategy and execution across Comcast’s national service footprint. Under her leadership, Comcast Business continues to fuel top line revenue growth of 21% or more each year. With nearly 20 years of Sales, Marketing, Operations and eCommerce experience, Denice Hasty is an industry veteran with proven success in the achievement of industry-leading performance.
Until September of 2014, Denice was SVP of Xfinity Marketing for Comcast’s Residential Cable business. In this role, Denice was responsible for developing market and customer strategies to sustain and grow Comcast’s $40 billion residential revenue. She and her team focused on achieving net add subscriber goals for Xfinity video, data, voice and home security. Functional responsibilities include acquisition and retention marketing, direct response, product packaging & pricing, and subscriber forecasting and reporting. During her leadership tenure, Comcast added over 1.2 million net new internet subscribers. Denice joined Comcast in 2012 to lead the National Consumer Sales organization as SVP, Sales. In this role, she was responsible for sales strategy and operational effectiveness across Comcast’s distribution channels of 7,000+ sellers. Under her leadership, Xfinity continued improved subscriber growth, sales productivity and increased market share through multiple channels, including direct sales, inbound Sales and outbound telemarketing.
Prior to joining Comcast, Denice served as CenturyLink’s Vice President of Consumer and Small Business Marketing. In that role, Ms. Hasty was responsible for delivering the $9 billion Consumer and Small Business unit and revenue plan across the company’s six geographical regions. She was also responsible for marketing and sales strategy as well as budget development and business performance reporting. Hasty was previously the Vice President of IPTV Marketing at CenturyLink where she was responsible for P & L management of CenturyLink’s Prism product.
Prior to joining CenturyLink in late 2009, Denice served as Assistant Vice President of Operations at AT&T with responsibility for AT&T U-verse Sales and Market Management. During her 10 years at AT&T, Denice held a variety of leadership roles with increasing scope in Marketing Communications, eCommerce, Sales Operations and Marketing Management.
Ms. Hasty has a proven track record of successfully leading teams through mergers impacting market size, strategy and operations. During her 10 years at AT&T, she improved business performance while achieving integration and synergy objectives through six corporate mergers (Sterling Commerce, SBC, Prodigy, AT&T, BellSouth and Cingular). In her two years at CenturyLink, she helped lead the Sales & Marketing organization through the combination of CenturyTel and Embarq and CenturyLink and Qwest.
Her strengths include strategic thinking, ability to collaborate broadly in the application of key value drivers of higher business performance. She has significant experience in market growth strategies and execution including pricing, product management, direct marketing, promotional mix and distribution strategy. Her functional areas of expertise include marketing communications, advertising, media mix including digital, and distribution strategies to achieve acquisition cost and sales growth goals. She has experience managing teams of 150+ with marketing expense budgets surpassing $500 million.
Ms. Hasty is a Beta Gamma Sigma Honors graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She also serves on the Advisory Board for The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Cultural Alliance of Philadelphia. She is an Alumni of Leadership Philadelphia and resides in Philadelphia with her husband, Gary.
