Lauren Cawley is a dedicated grants manager with over 15 years experience, particularly in institutions of higher education, such as Thomas Jefferson University and Drexel University.
She started her grants career for the State of New Jersey’s Juvenile Justice Commission, working directly with the programs throughout the state whose missions were related to delinquency prevention, intervention, and aftercare. She has worked on grant funding from the federal government, state agencies and non-profits such as Pew Charitable Trusts. As a self-described ‘umpire of research,’ Lauren prides herself on customer service, serving as a liaison between sponsors and grant recipients, to ensure that grant funding is maximized to get the most tangible results, whether it be in medical research or early literacy projects.
Lauren is so excited to join The Fund for the School District in its mission of targeting strategic priorities that have a measurable impact on the success of all students, because the success of those students will shape the future of the city of Philadelphia and beyond.
